It has been an amazing year for the societies and liberation groups of Lancaster University. There have been performances, events, fundraisers, campaigns, and so much more—the list goes on and on.
So, as the home of Societies and Liberation groups, it is only fitting that LUSU hosted the 2026 Society Awards, to take a moment and recognise our fabulous societies and groups. Sugarhouse was transformed for the night, for an evening of celebration, laughter, and—of course—brilliant performances that highlight the talent and dedication that our groups bring to Lancaster.

“Congratulations to everyone who was nominated and to all of our winners at this year’s Society Awards! The evening was a fantastic celebration of the passion, creativity and dedication that students put into their societies throughout the year. From events and performances to volunteering, fundraising and building communities, every nominee should be incredibly proud of the impact they have made. Thank you to everyone who continues to make our student groups such an important and valued part of university life.”
