This term we decided to try something different and take the AGM online. We launched online voting at the Big Summer Meet Up and closed voting on Friday Week 8. There was also the opportunity to watch officer reports, ask questions and tell us what you wanted the union to do in the future.

AGM results are in:

• 88 valid students took part in the first online AGM – more students than attended the previous two AGMs combined
• Over 50 students came to the Big Summer Meet Up, your chance to meet with the Officers face to face and get involved in discussions about costs at university

 

Affiliations passed with:

• 51 approve
• 17 abstain
• 19 reject

 

Satisfied with Full Time Officer Reports:

• 45 slightly/very satisfied
• 31 slightly/very dissatisfied

 

Loads of students also raised important issues they want the Union to focus on next year, including improving mental health support, tackling discrimination on campus, and environment sustainability!

The Full Time Officer team received many questions, which they are working on answering as quickly as possible. Watch this space.
