we’ve compiled all the best free events happening around campus to get you in a merry mood!



 

 

The days are getting shorter, and the weather is getting colder - But that doesn’t mean
the fun ends here! Nope, we’ve still got plenty of amazing things going on to keep you
feeling the cheer as we begin to close up Michaelmas Term – and guess what? They’re
all free!
 

Sugar Presents: Will Best LIVE!

Big Brother may have finished for the year, but the Big Sugarhouse is still welcoming guests!
 
On Saturday 30th November, get yourself down to the Sugarhouse for a night to remember. Get ready for a night of high-energy music and fun as Big Brother co-host Will Best takes to the Sugarhouse stage.
 
And even better, it’s FREE! Grab your free tickets and show up before midnight to join the fun.

LUSU Christmas Markets
 
Because it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
 
From Wednesday 4th December to Thursday 5th December, join us for all your festive needs at the LUSU Christmas Markets.
 
To spark that creative flare, try some of our arts and crafts events, before warming up with a festive beverage (mulled wine or hot choccy anyone?). And if you’re still looking for some pressies, we’ve got prints and gifts galore. Plus, a free skating rink where you can show off your moves before filling up with some tasty hot food. We’ve really got it all!

Festive Sustainability Festival
 
Want to learn all about seasonal sustainability? Fancy a free hot chocolate? Come down to the LUSU Green Sustainability Festival on Wednesday 4th December.
 
From 11AM to 3PM, drop into the Work in Progress to learn about sustainability this festive season, while having fun!

 

Potluck & Celebration
 
To wrap up term one with a celebration of the LUSU Green community, join the team for a potluck celebration on Thursday 5th December.
 
From 7PM to 9PM in the ECOHub, bring yourself and a dish (Vegan and nut free) to share at the potluck.

And don’t forget about your colleges. They’ll be hosting their own magical events leading up to the festive season, so keep an eye out on all of the college Instagrams to see what they’re offering!

 

Supper Club
 
Supper Club is back this term, in collaboration with the university.
 
Taking place every Thursday night of term in Marketplace, Supper Club provides students with a free meal to keep you going – but places are limited, and pre-registration is essential.
 
Grab your Supper Club entry card from the LUSU reception desk any time during office hours (10am-5pm), then head down to Marketplace between 5-7pm on a Thursday. 
 

 

Farmers’ Markets
 
And we can’t forget about the good old Farmers’ Markets!
 
Every Tuesday and Thursday during term time, we deliver a variety of the best in local business to the heart of campus with the LUSU Farmers' Markets. You can expect to find fresh produce, tasty treats, sizzling street food, vintage garms, wavy prints and much, much more – all in Alexandra Square!
 
 
Treat yourself to a little festive goodness all for free – go on, you deserve it!
