This year presented challenges to the distribution of the students' unions free contraception supplies due to building closures
In response, Welfare Officer Amy Merchant teamed up with the Advice team and the Library to ensure that contraception is easily available, accessible and inclusive for all.
It's not just books that are in plentiful supply in the university library. You can now collect free inclusive contraception supplies including female condoms, lube, latex free condoms, dental dams, condoms and free sanitary products! Located at the back of the library A floor toilets, you can collect what you need conveniently and discreetly.
Speaking about the initiative, Amy (Welfare Officer) said: "Back in March, I had the opportunity to introduce this initiative to support students during what was a particularly difficult time. I am thrilled that this small project has become something that the student body really values and appreciates. As restrictions are easing, it is really important that students still have access to the products they require in order to stay safe, happy, and healthy."
Don't forget the age-old ways to stay safe as we come out of lockdown.
