Free Sexual Health Testing Available at LUSU

Wednesday 30-04-2025 - 12:30

Did you know that our very own LUSU Advice Service is partnered with Revolution, who provide their Sexual Health Outreach Service to students here on campus?

The Sexual Health Testing Drop-In Clinic occurs on the first Wednesday of every month during term time in one of the Advice Pods in Bowland Main (A39b next to the LUSU welcome desk).

Revolution is a free, confidential and professional non-clinical HIV & Sexual Health Support Service that operates across Blackpool and the wider Lancashire area. Our Advice Service have been working with Revolution via Renaissance UK successfully for the last five years.

If you need sexual health information, advice or testing, please do drop in to see Jane who is our friendly, non-judgmental nurse. Jane can undertake testing for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, HIV and Syphilis. HIV and Syphilis results are instant so you will find out there and then the outcome of the test.

Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea results can take up to two weeks to come back, and the results will be sent to your phone.

Jane can also make referrals for further sexual health testing where needed, as well as provide students with advice on safer sex and free condoms.
