More than 250 of your new Academic Reps for 2018/19 got together at Saturday’s introductory training conference to find out more about their roles and what they can do to make learning at Lancaster even better.
We appoint Academic Reps for every year group of every course to ensure that your voice is heard in your department and your teaching and learning is organised in a way that works for you.
The conference introduced our reps to their roles for the year ahead, helping them to discover how to make the most of their role and offering tips on how to ensure that they are a force for positive change on behalf of the students they represent.
Union Vice-President (Education) Ian Meeks said: “The event was a huge success and I’d like to say a big thank you to all 277 reps who came along.
“It was a great start to the year and we look forward to working with this great bunch of people for the rest of the year.”
