Lancaster sealed a huge Roses 2018 win with victory in the final fixture of the tournament, with the Men's 1sts Rugby Union winning an epic match in front of a huge crowd of supporters.
The home team was assured of the tournament win by the end of Saturday with a whole day of competition still to go. The final overall scoreline of 225.5 to 126.5 made it Lancaster's biggest ever Roses win.
Despite having secured the early win, Lancaster's athletes didn't rest on their laurels and there was fierce competition in every Sunday fixture.
The day reached a climax as Lancaster's Men's 1sts Rugby - still harbouring memories of their final whistle loss at home two years ago - put in a gutsy display, coming back from behind to win 31-18 with a spectacular performance.
Roses 2018 officially came to close as students' union Vice-President (Activities) Ben Francis lifted the Roses 2018 trophy in front of hundreds of Lancaster supporters.
