We’ve already welcomed nine new Societies into the Students’ Union so far this academic year as more of you come up with new and innovative ideas to cater for the wonderful and diverse students’ we have here at Lancaster:

Autism Social

‘A relaxed environment where you can meet likeminded people every Tuesday from 6pm-8:30pm in Fylde Common Room.’ Join the group!

First Aid

‘This society provides you with the perfect opportunity to gain a first aid qualification. Once trained you are able to volunteer your time at various events and deliver first aid to those in need.

This is a perfect opportunity for anyone wanting to build soft skills, gain a qualification and have experience in the health sector.’ Find out more

Fashion (ISSUE)

We have founded this society on raw enthusiasm and love for the industry and we aim to help, guide and support our growing number of members in the careers they wish to pursue in the fashion and creative industries. We aim to unite fashion enthusiasts, but also anyone interested in art, design, photography, journalism’ Get Involved.

Red Rose Refugees

“Educate – Participate – Advocate” – under this motto the Red Rose Refugee Society aims at engaging Lancaster Students with refugee matters and NGOs in town. Check out our page for news on events.

Swing Dance

‘We bring Swing Dancing such as Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston to Lancaster University.

Paediatrics

From CV tips to conference trips, this society hopes to help anyone with an interest in child health.

Beginning with local talks and workshops, we hopes to eventually run our own conferences to which we can invite other societies from up and down the country. We are totally up for new ideas and suggestions so if you have an interest in paediatrics, please join us and become a member!

Funding 

The ideas keep on flowing and they’re certainly not showing any signs that they are slowing!

Over £2500 has been contributed to expanding society activity so far this academic year including:

The Hiking Club, Street Workout and Calisthenics, African Caribbean Society, Ballroom Dancing and Politics.
