Harrison is the Vice President Union Development at LUSU. Harrison is the political lead for developing and improving the Union's commercial services, including The Sugarhouse nightclub.
The LUSU Full Time Officer Team and Sugarhouse have started the year in the lab, working hard to develop some exciting new initiatives and events to kick off Lent Term. The Sugarhouse is your students’ union run nightclub, meaning we’re here to make it the best experience for students –and are committed to giving back to you. And so, I'm here to proudly say that we’ve got some announcements...
Sugarbus is now FREE!
The SU and Sugar are committed to providing you with a safe and enjoyable night out and run our world-famous Sugarbus service from campus to Sugar to get you there and back with minimal hassle. However, we know the Cost-of-Living struggle is real. So - first, it’s time for us to get rid of those Sugarbus costs. We’re slashing the price so that you pay nothing. With the introduction of free tickets, we hope that students feel less financially pressured when choosing whether to go out and have fun, whilst also ensuring you can get home quickly and safely after your night out. We believe that University isn’t just about your studies but the experiences you make with friends and we’re here for that too! Tickets are available from 9pm on the night, via eventbrite.

Birthday Bonus
Do you have an upcoming birthday and want a night to remember with all your uni mates? Well, we’re super excited to introduce the all-new Sugar Birthday Package! This shiny new bundle gets you queue-jump for you and two friends, free entry, a free shot, and a free drink on entry. What better way to say HB to me, and create some lasting memories. Simply DM the Sugar team to get your birthday booking locked in.

Events, events, events!
If all of that wasn’t enough, Lent Term is brimming with a whole range of special nights for you to choose from. Famous Wednesday and Friday ‘standard nights’ still stand, but there’s a host of special nights neatly stacked into the schedule this term too.
Week 11 kicked off with ‘I Stay Out too Late’ for Taylor Swift & Harry Styles fanboys and girls, and now it’s time to prepare for the Sugarhouse’s first Indie Night in years, this Friday (Week 12) as per a particularly keen Full-Time Officer. All this and we’re only two weeks in – with much more to come, including special events for Valentine's and beyond!
We need you!
Since the launch of Society Saturdays this academic year, the FTO team and Sugarhouse management have been intent on offering as much as possible to our loyal students that come through the Sugar doors, Wednesday in, Wednesday out. We’re your club, run by your union – and the success of everything we do is down to you!
The Students’ Union has set out on a mission to invest more and more into their commercial outlets (see Central Supermarket’s rebranding to ‘LUSU Shop’ as a prime example) - to offer the best experience, value and quality for you, our students. We thank all of our patrons for your continued support and loyalty. With your help we can keep investing in offering more for you, and contribute to the betterment of Lancaster student nightlife.
