Nominations are now open for the Womens+ Students Officer and Postgraduate & Mature Students' Officer Roles

This is your opportunity to be one of the leading voices for PG & Mature students or Womens+. If you have a passion for making change, want to develop some new skills, or generally make student life better – now is your chance!

Nominate yourself using the link below and submitting both a picture and a 750 max word manifesto!

Quick tips for writing a manifesto

  1. Don't spend 700 of your 750 words sharing your life story. Give students an idea of the values you hold and what will change for the better with you in the position.
  2. Bullet-point your manifesto points or the priorities you'd focus on at the beginning of your manifesto. There's going to be a few other candidates and elections happening, so you'll want to stand out quickly.
  3. You're trying to engage as many people as possible, try talking to people outside of your usual friend group. Ask other people in the college what could be better, or what do they want to see continued, then incorporate their thoughts into your manifesto!

What do I need to do to nominate myself?

You will need to nominate yourself at lancastersu.co.uk/nominations and submit a manifesto. This should be a description of what you would set out to achieve if elected.

What is expected of me if I’m elected?

If you are elected you will be expected to attend appropriate meetings, and hold events and campaigns for students at Lancaster.

The Role Descriptor for the PG&M Officer & Womens+ Officer role can be found here.

If you have any questions about elections or the PG Board please email elections@lancastersu.co.uk
