Education Officer 25/26
The lead representative on all academic matters; your teaching, learning, facilities, assessments, learning resources, and placements. The Education Officer facilitates and support the work of Student Academic Reps and has a seat in important decision-making spaces in the University.
Any member of the Students’ Union can run for this position.

Student Trustee (x2)
As a registered charity, the Students’ Union’s operations are overseen by our Board of Trustees. The Board is made up of our Full-Time Sabbatical Officers as the political leadership of the organisation, a number of external trustees who provide their own experience and expertise, as well as four directly elected Student Trustees. The Board is chaired by the President and meet at several points throughout the year.
Any member of the Students’ Union can run for this position. You must be a registered student for the full term in office (July 2025 – June 2026).

Nominations open on Monday 5th May. At that point you will be able to nominate yourself for any position you are eligible for via the Students’ Union website: https://lancastersu.co.uk/nominate. You will need to sign-in to the Students’ Union website using your normal University details. Once on the nomination platform, you can select the position you would like to nominate yourself for.
To nominate yourself you must supply a candidate photo (jpg or png files work best) and submit a manifesto no longer than 250 words. Your manifesto is your opportunity to explain to voters what makes you the best candidate for the position and detail any promises you would like to make.

Following approval by Union Assembly during the Easter break, the way in-which we elect our Liberation & Campaigns Officers has changed. In the coming week, we’ll be inviting eligible students to participate in the various democratic events that will elect the LCOs for 2025/26.
