Our Annual Report 2021, telling the story of our highlights from the last year, is now available to read online
Published every year, the Annual Report offers a summary of the ways in which the union has made a difference for the benefit of our members.
From big events like our Picnic by the Pond in June to behind-the-scenes activity such as supporting our members through academic appeals, the report picks out our highlights as well as some of the ways we’ve supported individual students to enjoy amazing experiences and achieve brilliant things.
Academic Representation is stronger than ever, as 457 Academic Reps are appointed and working with departments to improve your courses. Despite the pandemic, over one thousand Sports Clubs and Society Executives have been appointed and over six thousand students are registered as members. While our Green Lancaster team has continued to fight for sustainability, achieving Good in the Green Impact Awards for 2020-21 and continuing to engage with over one thousand students on projects and at events. These stats are not only testament to the work of the students' union throughout the pandemic, but also the resilience and commitment of our student leaders and membership.
The last year has, undoubtedly, changed the way we operate. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to change the lives of university students across the UK. It has had an unprecedented impact on the student community and continues to be an unsettling time for many. We will continue to represent and support students and provide core services to our membership.
