You’re invited to a day of fabulous pond-side fun, on Saturday 26th June at our Picnic by the Pond

Save the date, as this June 26th in collaboration with the PG Board, the students’ union proudly presents the Picnic by the Pond: A fantastic day of society performances, fairground fun and picnics galore! 

After a year like no other, your Students’ Union is kicking off a week of summer celebrations with a festival for all, taking place on the campus grounds surrounding Lake Carter. You can sit back and enjoy society performances for the first time this year, catch-up with friends, have a go on the giant inflatable games and fete stalls, and for those of you who want an added treat, join the picnic.

We know it’s been a tough year for everyone, and as exams are over and the summer begins, we want to give you the chance to meet our societies, meet one another, and experience how fun and vibrant our campus can be!

Safety

In line with University guidance, we strongly advise attendees to take a Lateral Flow Test twice weekly. Tests are available for collection on-campus from the Great Hall, or alternatively from many local pharmacies and online. While it's not a requirement to attend the event, it is recommended prior to attendance.

The Picnic by the Pond event has been organised to meet the Government’s current guidelines. Organizers will continue to monitor the government guidance and necessary safety precautions will be in place. Please take notice of any safety measures and follow the guidance available on the day.
