Emily is the 2025/26 LUSU Activities Officer.
Sport Committee nominations for 2026 are now officially open, and clubs are encouraged to share this opportunity with their incoming executive committees.

Sport Committee is the student executive committee for sport at Lancaster, acting as the representative body for students involved in sport across the University. Working closely with the Activities Officer, the committee plays an important role in shaping the future of student sport and ensuring student voices are heard on key decisions and wider issues affecting life at Lancaster.
Throughout this year, Sport Committee has discussed a wide range of topics including student sport membership, the Akuma sportswear contract, college sport eligibility, intramural sport structures, and broader Union and University matters. Committee members have also taken a more active role within the Students’ Union, helping to promote new sports, represent sport at Union Assembly, and organise charity initiatives in support of CALM.
The committee meets around three times per term, with meetings typically lasting a couple of hours. It is a fantastic opportunity for students to contribute to the direction of sport at Lancaster, gain leadership experience, and develop skills in representation, communication and decision making.
Students interested in joining the committee will need to submit a short mandate before taking part in an election voted on by members of sports executive committees across the University.
Nominations close at 23:59 on Sunday 8th June. Voting will open at 9am on Monday 9th June and close at 5pm on Wednesday 11th June, with results announced later that week.
If you want to help shape the future of sport at Lancaster, make sure to put yourself forward here.
