Santa paid a visit to the university’s on-campus nursery this week, thanks to a little ‘elfing’ hand from the students’ union. Children at the nursery were excitedly looking forward to meeting St Nick, but the visit was in doubt after their letter got lost on the way to the North Pole. Luckily union Communications Assistant Chad Bunney is a good friend of Santa Claus and was able to make sure that the nursery children got to see Father Christmas and receive some early Christmas presents from him.
Chad, who graduated this week with a Masters in English and Creative Writing, was delighted to help the nursery make contact with Father Christmas.
He said: “I was ho ho ho-ver the moon to be able to invite Santa to the nursery Christmas party. It would have been Rudolph me not to help.”
Father Christmas then visited the Students’ Union Welcome Zone in Bowland Main and enjoyed a plate of mince pies before filming a video wishing all of our students a wonderful holiday season ahead.
