Last week, we took to Instagram to let you ask us everything you wanted to know about the LUSU x Colleges Summer Ball. And we’ve compiled some of the most popular questions right here for you to come back to! 

 

 

WRISTBAND COLLECTION

 

You can collect your wristbands from Alex Square every day this week until 3pm. 

Anyone purchasing a student ticket will need to show a valid Lancaster student ID to collect their wristband. If your ticket is in somebody else's name, you should have written authorisation from them by email to show that you can collect that wristband.

The event is 18+ so don’t forget to bring your ID! 
 
Once you’re in. you’ll be able to enter and re-enter the Summer Ball as long as you have your wristband with you.

You’ll get exclusive access to a jam-packed line up of performers, with headliner Professor Green!

 

 

Event Opens: 6pm
Live Music: 7:30pm
Event Closes: 3am
N1 Night bus: 3:15am 

Make sure to plan your journey home in advance. We recommend prebooking shared taxis where you can!
 

WHAT UR WRISTBAND GETS YOU (FAIRGROUND)

You’ll get free, unlimited access to all the fairground fun with your wristband including Ferris Wheel, Miami Ride, Bumper Cars!

 

 
WHAT UR WRISTBAND GETS YOU (ATTRACTIONS)

Plus, you’ll have access to a whole bunch of other attractions. Maybe our Silent Disco is the one for you, where you can pick the perfect vibe from Indie Anthems and Classic Drum & Bass. That’s not even to mention the face painting, fire dancing, and photo ops! 

 

 
WHAT FOOD AND DRINK CAN I BUY?

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to bring your own snacks/drinks to the Summer Ball, but you will be able to get free water on request from the bars. 

Plus, there will be plenty of food vendors on site to grab some scran from: burgers, hog roast, nachos, Sultans… the options are endless! 

Don’t forget, there will be a Slush Factory with vodka slushes for you to buy (and non-alcoholic options too!)

 
WELFARE AND ACCESSIBILITY

Throughout the Summer Ball, we’re here for you. 

There will be welfare and accessibility measures put in place so that you can enjoy yourself and be safe. This includes anti-spiking measures at all bars, meeting points for you and your friends and a welfare point outside of the Great Hall for anyone that might just need a biscuit and a sit down.

If you need any help at any time, don’t hesitate to ask a member of staff who will be able to help you.

FGH Security will operate across the event site including dedicated Welfare Supervisors. We will also have trained first-aiders present at all times.

Check out the quiet zone if you need to take a breather, plus earplugs on request should you need them. There will also be step-free access to the site, and a raised platform for the silent disco.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Just wear your best summery vibes fit! 

The same dress code rules as the Sugarhouse apply – that means no handwriting on bodies or clothing, and no costumes that may cause offence.

Not a Lancaster Uni student? Guests + Alumni, there are tickets especially for you too – everyone is invited! 

Tickets will be available while stocks last until 10pm on the night, so please book your ticket on our website before joining the queue!
