Following footage of a duckling falling down drains emerged on the Facebook group Overheard at Lancaster by Michelle Gartner and George Webster, Lancaster University have put measures in place to prevent further duckling and drain disasters.

Vice-President Welfare and Community, David Whitlock who flagged the issue to the University said,

“The ducklings are not only adorable but provide us all with a small, much needed and happy distraction at this incredibly busy time of year. It’s great to see this issue being responded to so quickly by the University”.
