Do you know your hapax from your legomenon, your Paxman from your Rajan and your Monkman from your Seagull? You could have what it takes to represent Lancaster in BBC Two's University Challenge 2024.

University Challenge is renowned for being TV's toughest quiz team tournament. Airing on BBC Two, students from across the UK face the most fiendish of tests and we are looking for our best and brightest to represent Lancaster in this prestigious competition. Lancaster last entered a team into the competition in 2019 having paused recruitment throughout the pandemic. This year, we are back and hoping to find a fantastic team of budding brainboxes to showcase the talent that Lancaster has to offer.

To apply, you will need to convene a team of 5 people: 4 team members and 1 reserve. You should then apply via this form before 15:00 on Wednesday 15th November. All members must be current students enrolled at Lancaster University and must be available to attend a live selection test event on Thursday 16th November 19:30-21:30, Bowland North SR10.

Performance at this selection will be used to determine Lancaster's team to be entered into the competition. This team will then advance to University Challenge's own selection process in order to make it to the televised shows.
