Since 1965, not a year has gone by where you haven't proudly shown your colours and proved that Roses are red, and this year will be no different.
We might be apart, but #WeAreLancaster and on May 1st we will prove #RosesAreRed 🌹
Throughout Roses weekend there will be challenges set for you to take part in and represent #TeamLancaster. Plus sporting events where York and Lancaster will go head to head (digitally). This is a unique opportunity for everyone to get involved with our annual Roses tournament!
VP Activities Victoria has been working hard to organise an alternative Roses event so that students don't miss out this year. Speaking about the Virtual Roses event she said:
"Although Roses isn’t happening how we planned this year, it doesn’t mean that we can’t (virtually) get together to have fun, compete against York, celebrate our community and the spirit of Roses. I’ve been so impressed with how all our students have acted in this time of crisis, and I hope that Virtual Roses brings us all a much needed weekend full of fun!"
Any student, staff or alumni member can get involved and represent Lancaster in Roses. Here are a few examples of the Open to ALL Challenges you can take part in:

Simply submit your entry on the relevant Facebook event on our dedicated Virtual Roses 2020 page.
So dig out that old Roses T-shirt, get your kit on and paint those war stripes because we need to show York what colour #Roses2020 truly are.
Meet you at @VirtualRoses, May 1st ⚡️
