LUDarts Society is the perfect place to hone your darts skills, meet new people and get involved with one of the most competitive sports on campus. Providing weekly inter-college matches every Monday and University wide competitions for all abilities most weeks, all within a friendly and vibrant atmosphere. The darts is also arguably the largest, and most anticipated event at Roses every year constantly bringing in hundreds of spectators and always proving to be an amazing day. 

Lancaster is the most successful Darts University in the country, having won the UDUK championship title on seven occassions in the last eleven years, and having won the UDUK plate at the most recent event. We are looking to reclaim our UDUK North-Western Championship, beating universities such as Bangor and Liverpool to lift the trophy in 2023! Lancaster also were national semi-finalists in the 2024 season, narrowly losing to the eventual champions, and - yet again - beat York at Roses 5-4. 

 

Full membership is only £5 for the entire year, which gives access to:

- UDUK Competitions: represent the university in the North-West league against the best players from other universities in this region, and also get the opportunity to play in national university darts tournaments held across the country. 

- Roses: have a chance to qualify for one of the three Roses teams (Open 1s, Womens+ 1s, Open 2s) to play on stage against York in front of a large crowd, in the most anticipated event of the year.

- Ranking Events: these biweekly events run throughout terms 1 and 2, and are a chance to play competitive but fun darts - with a variety of formats (such as bull only, random pairs, etc) - and qualify for an eventual Finals Night to crown the best ranked player.

- Cross Campus Competitions: each year we run two open tournaments with all entrants randomly drawn in a term-long cross campus tournament as players set up matches in their own time until an eventual winner is crowned.

- Triple Crown: this is a truly unique tournament with all three elements of bar sports (darts, pool and dominoes) involved. A field of over 50 pairs normally enter, and this is usually the most fun and enjoyed event of the whole year.
