The below information discusses socials we run normally however due to COVID most of our socials are currenlty online, for more information about this please message us on social media to ask how to take part virtually.
We hold several socials each term, a mix of drinking and non-drinking. You’re welcome to come to socials even if you don’t attend meetings, as it’s a great way to meet more LGBTQ+ people. Some of our most popular regular socials include Gaystrav, which is an LGBTQ+ takeover of the Sugarhouse, and trips to Canal Street in Manchester’s Gay Village.
We also hold coffee evenings every Tuesday at 6pm during term time in the Infolab Cafe, which is located to the south of campus near Pendle Brew. Coffee evenings are more relaxed than meetings, as there is no agenda and everyone can simply chat in a friendly, safe space over a cup of tea or coffee. Most coffee evenings will just be a time to sit and chat, but there will also be some film nights, game nights, and crafts sessions.
There are no socials during the holidays, but coffee evenings are usually still run. Check the Facebook page for updates, as coffee evenings may be held in a different time and place outside of term time.
