As you may be aware, tickets went on sale for Extravs last week and we reached the capacity very quickly and in some cases before college members had had the opportunity to purchase a ticket. Currently, there will be no tickets available in the general release (1pm on Wednesday 2nd June) for County, Grizedale and Lonsdale college.
As always with Extravs, we have enabled college members to purchase in advance of non-college members. This year, the capacities of the events have been lowered to ensure that we can remain COVID-compliant. The safe operating capacities for these events have been decided upon based on our understanding of the current COVID regulations for events, our resources to deliver to them and full consultation with the Safety Office, Local Authority Environmental Health and Licensing.
If it were possible to simply sell more tickets and raise capacities, we would do this, it is unfortunately not possible to raise the capacities for the events at present. However, we remain hopeful that the move to Step 4 of the Roadmap to Recovery goes ahead as planned and we can raise the number of tickets available. Should this be the case, then we would ensure that tickets would go back on sale to college members only first.
We are also aware, that there are a number of people struggled to access the system due to the high traffic on the site. We are working with our web supplier to ensure that this does not happen again.
Thank you to everyone who has been in contact with us via the ticketing system, we are currently processing each of your queries.
We understand that there will be disappointment as a result of the difficult times we find ourselves in. We hope to be able to offer something for everyone in the coming weeks, be it Extravs, our Picnic by the Pond event or the revival of the college sporting rivalries. We are holding an open meeting for anyone who has further questions about Extravs which you can access using the link below.
Extravs Open Meeting, 3pm on Thursday 3rd June on Teams:
We thank you for your continued understanding during these challenging times and can't wait to see you soon.
