It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and you’re invited! The beloved LUSU Christmas Markets will be returning to Alexandra Square and Bowland Main in just one week – running from Tuesday 5th to Thursday 7th December.

 

 

Prepare your snow boots for all kinds of winter goodness including a host of festive stalls with local crafts, delicious hot food, and indulgent beverages. If you still need convincing to get into the holiday spirit, we’ve got carol singing, a brass band, and some fantastic society performances too. Why not visit your FTOs and write up your Christmas list to the University before grabbing a cosy mulled wine, hot choccy, or hot Vimto in our limited-edition Christmas Market mug. And of course, there’s the new for 2023 Skating Rink, hosted in Bowland Main, if you plan on showing off your moves.

Local residents, you’re invited too! The more the merrier, bring your families along and enjoy what LUSU has to offer with free parking in the Visitor Car Parks A-I for the duration of the event.

During the Markets, we are expecting some congestion due to the temporary marquees and increased footfall. Accessible routes between the North and South Spine will be maintained, however your travel time may be affected so please plan ahead.

Vintage garments, shimmering spirits, crafty gifts and even some festive fungi… what’s not to love! We can’t wait to see you there.
