Has your team been affected by players having Wednesday afternoon teaching?
The Students’ Union are gathering testimonies from students and sports teams who have been restricted in competing for the University, due to compulsory teaching on Wednesday afternoons.
The University’s academic policy states that Wednesday afternoons (after 1pm) are to be kept free from compulsory teaching for undergraduate students. There are options available to students who face clashes between Wednesday afternoon teaching and sporting commitment. In order to unlock these solutions, it is pivotal that the Students’ Union compile an accurate report of all modules, courses, individuals and teams that are involved in the issue.
The Vice-President Activities is asking sports clubs’ execs to contact via email (su.vp.activities@lancaster.ac.uk) with all cases that are in breach of the University’s Wednesday afternoon teaching policy, in order to present this information to the University and attempt to mitigate such circumstances.
