Next week as part of the Grow Our Minds campaign we are holding Mind Fest, a day in the square all about relaxing activities to help take your mind of deadlines for a little while.

As this week is Student Volunteer Week, we want to make sure you know about a great opportunity to volunteer for a few hours on campus, during Mind Fest, a one day festival in the heart of campus, to highlight the Grow Our Minds mental health campaign and to give students a break from studying and an opportunity to socialise in a community setting.

We need your help to make this event happen. There are a number of volunteering opportunities available:

- Main stall – outside giving out freebies and encouraging people to talk (must be open and willing to talk about mental health)

- Advice chill-out space – inside the SU giving out free tea/coffee and cake and talking to people (must be open and willing to talk about mental health)

- Directing people to different events i.e. Yoga and indoors to the SU

- Running the inflatable and encouraging people to have a go in the activities

- Helping to make up the care-pack giveaway’s on Monday evening

There are different times and sessions available, so something to hopefully suit all availability! In order to volunteer, we need you to be able to offer up to 3 hours, from either 9am – 1pm or  1pm-5pm on Tuesday 27th, to help pack the freebies on Monday 26th from 4pm – 8pm in the Students’ Union.

We’re holding drop-ins on Friday 23rd in the Students’ Union, so you can find out more, but please let us know if you’re interested by completing this online form.
