Students’ Union statement on bullying and harassment allegations

 

Lancaster University Students' Union has well-documented procedures with regard to allegations of bullying. We will not tolerate bullying in any form.

 

Any and all allegations of bullying are thoroughly investigated and anyone who makes such a complaint can be assured they will be taken seriously, and action taken by the Union as a result of their complaint.

 

However, as a general rule, the students’ union and its officers cannot make any comment on any complaints made, investigations or disciplinary processes.

 

Everyone is entitled to due process in such matters and it would be highly prejudicial for the students’ union, officers or staff to make any comment on them.

 

Full Time Officers Facebook Cover Change

 

On Friday evening changes were made to the Sabbatical officers’ Facebook page to remove details of Hannah Prydderch, VP (Union Development) following her resignation.

 

This change was not made or instigated by the officer team. It was made by a staff member with the best of intentions, given the nature of Hannah’s resignation.
