We’re looking for the next International Students’ Officer

At LUSU, we are incredibly proud of Lancaster’s diverse and vibrant student community. Every year students who come from all over the world to study and experience life at Lancaster. Our International Students’ Officer is there to make sure their voices are heard. 

 

 

You might have met Ifaz Younus, our current International Students’ Officer. Maybe it was at World Food FairInternational Students’ Fair, in meetings with key decision-makers, or any of the other amazing initiatives delivered by the Ifaz and the International Students’ Forum. 

Right now, we’re looking for Ifaz’s replacement.

Ifaz Younus

Here’s what Ifaz said about his experience in the role:  

“LUSU international student Officer is a role that gives you the opportunity to represent and politically lead the international, cultural and faith communities of Lancaster University.  
 
And it’s about time a new person is elected to take over this role!  
 
I have taken up this role for 2 years now and it was one of the most defining experiences I have had at university. 
 
From coordinating with the FTO team to tackle various problems students are facing to throwing larger than life events. The possibilities are endless! With the support of our operational staff at LUSU, being in this role, you can be the reason why life gets better for our international, cultural and faith communities next year.
