One of the things we know students struggle with when they come to university is cooking. Not everyone's got lots of confidence in the kitchen and the busy student lifestyle often means people eat alone when they can grab a few spare minutes, or end up grabbing pricy convenience food on campus.
We think cooking and eating together is a great way to relax, get to know your flatmates and spend time with your friends - and that's why Vice-President (Campaigns & Communications) Islay launched Bite Club, a campaign aimed at helping break down the barriers that stop you cooking.
Bite Club offers cookery demos, free ingredients (courtesy of a generous donation from Mars), recipe ideas and more to help you make the switch from fast food to home cooking.
We launched Bite Club with a live cookery demo and gave away the ingredients for One Pot Mexican Rice.
