ECOChallenge is LUSU Green’s flagship sustainability innovation challenge, delivered in partnership with the University's Sustainability Team, 9 Colleges and Work in Progress! ECOChallenge is an exciting, action-packed, 48-hour journey to tackle global challenges and make a difference. Students will work in teams to develop solutions to sustainability challenges faced on campus.
Have an opportunity to win a cash prize and an internship with the sustainability team, all the while developing your skills, networking with industry professionals and bolstering you cv!
The event will be opened by Lancaster University graduate Phoebe L. Hanson, a multi-award-winning advocate focused on bridging the gap between young people and policymakers on climate change. She co-coordinated Mock COP, a youth climate conference engaging youth from over 140 countries. She also co-founded Teach the Teacher, which supports climate education in 200 UK schools a year.
This year’s competition is bigger and better than ever before, taking a weekend format. The dates are Friday 20th-Sunday 22nd February, with the mentorship sessions taking place on the Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, and presentations and awards taking place on the Sunday.
