FST End of Year BBQ
Your FST academic reps have been busy planning an End-of-Year BBQ for Faculty of Science and Technology students, and we would love for you to come along!
When and Where?
The BBQ will be taking place (provisionally) on the Wednesday 10th June, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Sports Centre BBQs.
What will you need to bring and what is on?!
This will be a relaxed BBQ/picnic-style event, so please bring your own food and drinks. Your food does not have to be BBQ food — you are more than welcome to bring picnic food instead if you would prefer. There will be people with food hygiene training overseeing the BBQs, and we will also have disposable BBQs available for anyone with dietary requirements, allergies, or preferences where their food cannot come into contact with meat.
There will be gazebos available for shade, and we will also be providing some picnic blankets on a first come, first served basis, so you are welcome to bring your own blanket too. We will also be handing out some SugarHouse merch at the BBQ, including items such as VK glasses.
There will be music, games, and a chance to relax and celebrate the end of the academic year with coursemates and friends. The event is open to all students, and you are welcome to bring friends along too.
Collaborating with the SugarHouse!
We are also excited to share that we have partnered with SugarHouse for a collaborative Summer Fest theme across both the BBQ and SugarHouse. After the BBQ, SugarHouse will be running a cocktail night with exclusive cocktails available just for the night, including two regular cocktails and two mocktails. The SugarHouse is optional for BBQ attendees!
Interested in coming along? What are the costs?
The BBQ event is free to attend with cost of your own food you bring along.
SugarHouse entry will be at its normal price with normal entry times (11pm)
Whilst not required, to help us get an idea of numbers for the BBQ part of the event, please register your interest by buying a free ticket on this site.
