University Challenge Entry Test - Arts & Culture

University Challenge Entry Test - Arts & Culture

The first available entry test for University Challenge: Wednesday 5th November 18:00, Great Hall, Arts & Culture

Entering the competition is designed to be a fun, personal challenge. All students are encouraged to give it a try and see how you perform - you might just surprise yourself!

All students are welcome from first-year undergraduate to postgraduate researchers. We particularly welcome participation from women+ and students from black and minority ethnic backgrounds, who are typically underrepresented in the competition.

The competition will start with individual entry tests. There will be four tests available and to get involved, you just have to turn up and give it a go. Each test will be 20-minutes under exam conditions. The style of questions will be similar to those on the University Challenge TV show. Each test will focus on a specialist area and you can choose to sit as many tests as you like. The tests will run as follows:

  • Wednesday 5th November 18:00, Great Hall: Arts & Culture
  • Wednesday 5th November 18:45, Great Hall: Maths & Technology
  • Thursday 6th November 18:00, Great Hall: History & Geography
  • Thursday 6th November 18:45, Great Hall: Biological & Medical Sciences

Regretfully, we are unable to offer alternative timeslots to sit the entry tests.

Sign up for the entry test(s) here.
