LANCASTER UNIVERSITY BOAT CLUB 

 

Want to try something new at university? How about Rowing? Whether you're a complete novice, or an experienced rower, Lancaster University Boat Club is the place to be if you want to make some great friends, get in shape, and compete for your university at races across the country.

 

Freshers Fair

Welcome talks: We will be having 2 welcome talks, you only need to attend one: 

  • Friday 4th 6pm - Cavendish Lecture Theatre
  • Monday 7th 6pm - Cavensih Lecture Theatre

Erg taster session: 

  • Available for sign ups on our facebook

Swim Tests: Swim tests need to be perfomed before heading out onto the water, don't worry the 'test' is only a length of the pool in regular clothing.

  • Monday 7th 12pm
  • Thursday 10th 11:15am
  • Friday 11th 9am 

Boat House Orientation: This is where we take you around the boat house and show you our boats, as well as a taster into rowing on the water.

  • Saturday 12th
  • Sunday 13th

Regular Season Training

We train regularly, in the form of water outings, ergos, circuits and weights training. We also hold weekly socials and organise charity events like our annual 24 hour erg.

  • Our Membership is £50 for Seniors or £35 for Novices term 1 and then £40 for Novices term 2&3. Coxes fees are £10 per term.
