Welcome to Lancaster University Boxing Club

Lancaster University Boxing Club welcomes people of all levels, from complete beginners, to experienced and competitive boxers.

 

Our sessions will be run by our President Naz Brown, alongside Vice-President Tom Connel. These classes will teach you all the fundamental skills used in boxing, and help you to progress over the year, leading to various opportunities, including competing for the university, and visits to external clubs for sparring and training sessions.

 

While we provide these opportunities, there is no pressure on competing or sparring. Many of our members happily train just for fitness as boxing is an enjoyable way to exercise with friends.

 

We also host regular socials so you will meet new people throughout the year!

 

Sessions and Training Times

Michaelmas term sessions in the following locations.

• Monday: 8-10pm - George Fox - Squad session, competitive boxers or invite only
• Tuesday: 7pm - Meet library entrance - 5k social run, open to all (free extra session)
• Thursday: 8-10pm - George Fox - boxing fitness, open to all
• Sunday : 4-6 pm - George Fox - fundamentals, open to all 

Sessions begin on Monday the 6th of October. Any changes to session times will be updated on here on the lu_boxing instagram page, and on our whatsapp group.

 

Prices

Information for 2025/26

• Full Membership is £66. You will be able to attend all our sessions and socials for the entire academic year.
• Membership for individual terms are £36 each for Michelmas Term and Easter Term, and £25 for Summer Term.  
• Boxing Gloves will be provided for people who don't have their own.
