Description

Welcome to Lancaster University Cycling Club!

Don't have your own bike? We've got a range of club bikes available to borrow. Want to try mountain biking? We run termly hire bike trips to local trails so you can give it a go. Do you already compete in cycle races? We have our own series of races and multiple members already competing at a national level.

At Lancaster University Cycling Club, we aim to provide an inclusive experience for all riders. No matter your fitness, cycling is a brilliant way to explore the beautiful Lancashire countryside and make new friends at the same time. We run trips throughout the year such as the annual mountain bike trip to Innerleithen, weekend road trips to Wales, and visits to the National Cycling Centre in Manchester.

We encourage you to race and push yourself, but there is also a large social side to the club with drinking and sober socials. We run women's specific events and rides at multiple paces to match your ability.

Weekly Schedule

  • Wednesday (2 PM @ Slaidburn House on Campus): Social, medium & fast road rides
  • Wednesday (Afternoon): MTB rides at local trails such as Chapel house and Gisburn
  • Friday (Evenings, Weekly): Socials follow a different theme each week, with a balance between drinking and sober activities such as bouldering or a games night.
