Lancaster University Equestrian Club

If you are looking to experience the joys of equestrian sport, events, and socials - the Equestrian Club is the one for you!

The minimum requirement for you to join us as a riding member is that you can walk, trot and canter.

To become a social member no prior knowledge of horse riding is needed! Just come along to our Wednesday night socials, film nights, and excursions - Badminton Horse Trials is a firm favourite.

We offer three membership types: Team, Lessons and Social. Each membership types have different benefits that are suited to your needs and will inspire you to reach your individual equine goals. Whether you want to be prepared for competitions or reconnect with your long-lost riding skills, we have a place for you.

Team: Training is on a Wednesday afternoon at Bigland Hall Equine. We currently have three teams of varying levels, who compete against other universities throughout the year. Team Trials are held in week 1 of term; after successful trials, membership is an annual payment of £50 in addition to the weekly cost of training sessions.

Lessons: Members ride on a Wednesday afternoon at Larkrigg Riding Centre, located in Cumbria. Membership is £40 annually plus the individual cost of each lesson you attend.

Social: This is a perfect option for those who want to get to know more about horses without the commitment of riding. We hold weekly socials on a Wednesday night, plus lots of fun extras. We can't wait to get back to all our in person events. Membership is only £10 for the year!

If you have any queries, please message us on our Facebook page or email our execs. Also don't forget to check out our Instagram page to keep up to date with the club!

Until then, we can't wait to see you!
