Intro

We are Lancaster Golf Society ready to welcome golfers of all abilities! We offer the opportunity to be part of the golfing community at the Lancaster University and our partner golf club only 5 minutes from campus. Those interested in joining will be able to see the great facilities at Lancaster Golf Club as well as being eligible for discounts, trips, and a Roses fixture. We are a friendly and diverse society with the ultimate aim of allowing Lancaster University students to enjoy their golf at a very generous price.

Society Membership Options

• For beginers and social member the membership cost is £30. This allows us to run range sessions and hold socials throughout the year to give you the best experience.
• For golfers with a handicap and home golf club who want to be elligible to play in BUCS matches on behalf on the university, the membership cost is £50. This comes with all the social benefits as well as free team kit.

Events

• Weekly socials
• Monthly range sessions at Carus Green
• Black tie end of year dinners

BUCS Team

• Handicaps range from +4 to 12, however all members with handicaps are elligible for tryouts and team play throughout the year.
• Team training on Sundays 2-4pm.
• Wednesdays are BUCS matches or match play training.
• Year-round inter-team competitions and club championships for prizes.
• End of year Roses competion against York.

Lancaster Golf Club

To be a part of the team, you will also need to become a member of Lancaster Golf Club. The membership fee at the club is reduced for Lancaster University students and it costs £275 and you do need to be a member of the society to recieve this discount.
