Welcome to Lancaster University Handball Club!
A bit about the club
Lancaster University Handball Club (LUHC) is registered with the Students Union (LUSU) as the official Handball Club for Lancaster University and hosts both a men's and a women's team. The club was founded in 2013 by an overly-ambitious international student who had hoped to popularise handball in Lancaster as it was in her homeland of Norway. Since then, the club has grown rapidly into a fully-fledged community whith players of all levels.
What we have to offer
Here are a few things to entice you into joining:
Training
We train every Tuesday from 15:45 to 17:15 (Mens+) , 17:15 to 18:45 (Womens+) and Sunday from 14:00 to 15:30 (Mixed) at the University Sports Centre.
Membership
Membership is just £35 for the whole year. A Sport Lancaster (or any of the gym memberships from the University Sports Centre) membership is required for Handball, after purchasing our membership. We are happy to help to show how to purchase this or have it added to an already existing gym membership!
Contact information
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or queries about the club. Join us on Instagram (lancs_handball) and also Facebook (Lancaster University Handball Club)! If you fancy trying out taster sessions will be held in the first weeks of term, or if you decide to join later in the year then message our page.
