Description

Lancaster University Hockey Club

Everyone is welcome at LUHC; whether you've played hockey for Great Britain in Rio or have never picked up a stick. No matter what your ability is, you'll be welcomed with open arms into one of the friendliest communities at Lancaster University.

The club currently boasts 6 competitive teams (3 Men’s and 3 Women’s) who compete in the British University and College Sport (BUCS) Wednesday Leagues, with the Men’s and Women’s 1st XI also participating in their respective local Saturday Leagues.

For members who are new to the sport, or would like to recreationally play, the club also offers an impressive, growing, Mixed Development Squad. As these players become more immersed in the sport, they have the option to push for progression into a competitive team, if this is something they would be interested in.

As a club we also pride ourselves on the quality of our socials, which are held on Wednesdays at a private venue. Many members of our society agree that the social aspect is as important as playing, this is where friendships are born, and teams are strengthened. You can get to know people throughout the club who you may not have had the chance to during your time on the pitch. For more information, feel free to check out our social media pages or website!
