Description

In 2010 Lancaster University became a part of Intervol, a UK-wide charity which helps facilitate ethical international volunteering projects around the world. InterVol Lancaster works with Oxford Aid to the Balkans and Little Big Africa to send student volunteers to participate in placements in Bulgaria, Malawi and India over summer. 

 

Our society focuses on helping volunteers organise their project, providing basic training and assisting in fundraising to work towards the cost of the project. To join this group you must attend Lancaster University, we accept members from any year and any degree discipline. Usually members are students who are taking part of have taken part on one of our projects but we are happy to accept members who are interested in assisting with fundraising or attending events ran by Intervol. 

By joining this group basic information such as name, email and date of birth will be made available to the organisers of the group. Next of Kin details may also be provided if part of the registration. Anonymised demographic information of the group’s membership will be used to improve activity but will not identify any individual.
