Lancaster University Men's+ Lacrosse Club:
Lancaster University Men’s+ Lacrosse Club is a rapidly growing club with a diverse membership base. We compete in the Northern 2A BUCS League, the Northern Conference Cup, and the annual Roses competition against York. These fixtures, along with friendly games against other universities & local clubs, help us to develop our technical skills and maintain our professional approach to the game. New members will have a strong opportunity to participate in the BUCS league too.
We accept all ranges of ability at the Club and would encourage anyone interested in trying out the sport to come and attend any of our training sessions! No experience is necessary and kit provided!

We continue to improve our skills with two training sessions a week, as well as organised handling sessions. Throughout the 2024/25 season we will be growing the development squad intended to allow all ranges of ability to play competitive games and encourage the progression of the Club’s overall standard of play and ensuring everyone gets time to play. We also host weekly socials with a variety of themes intended to integrate new members into the Club immediately.
Mixed Lacrosse
Interested in lacrosse but not too sure… we have a mixed lacrosse training session weekly where anyone is welcome come along and play lax. Our Men’s+, Women’s+, and purely mixed members learn new skills each week and play tournaments throughout the year (as well as having a cheeky trip to Fylde for food after every mixed training). Mixed Roses 2022
Every year we travel to Liverpool to compete in a mixed lacrosse tournament, and play mixed competitively at Roses, so there’s always game opportunities. Our Mixed club is a less intense way to try lacrosse, and we are trying to push the sport to a wider audience of people, regardless of ability. Socials
Lacrosse isn’t just a sport, it’s a family for you whilst you’re at Lancaster university and beyond your graduation! We host weekly socials which aim to be a fun way to way to bond as a club and integrate with our Women’s+ club. These occur on a Wednesday after our matches, with themes being released at the start of term. Previous themes have included Funky Shirt, Olympics, Charity shop, Partners social…
For the 24/25 season we have also been lucky enough to get a sugar sponsorship, entitling us to more benefits from The Sugarhouse Nightclub in town!
We are committed to all our members wellbeing and understand that an evening social isn’t everyone’s idea of fun, thus in 2022/23 we launched wellbeing socials each term. These have a focus on being fun activities and are sober events. Ideas for these include PJ party, Ice-Skating, and a sports day. New ideas are always welcomed!

Membership
Our base membership cost is £70 for an annual membership, or can be paid in two instalments of £40 (to cover term one and then terms two and three). This membership ensures access to gloves, helmets, elbow pads, a lacrosse stick and club ties. All clubs that use the sports centre require their members to have a Lancaster University Sport Centre Membership.
