Description

Lancaster University Men's Lacrosse Club

Lancaster University Men’s Lacrosse Club is a rapidly growing and famously social club. We compete in the BUCS Northern 1A  League, the BUCS National Trophy, and the annual Roses competition against York. Last year, we won the double - the Northern 2A League and the National Conference Cup. We're eager to keep this immense form alive across the 25/26 season and we need YOUR help to do it.

Only a couple of players in our club played Lacrosse before joining Lancaster; most of us picked it up here. We accept all ranges of ability at the Club and would encourage anyone interested in trying out the sport to come and attend any of our training sessions! No experience is excpected and full kit is provided!

A typcial week as part of our club can look like this -

Monday - Development Session, 1730-1900

Wednesday -  Matchday & Social

Thursday - Full Club Training Session, 1730-1900 led by our L2 Qualified Coach

Saturday - Mixed Lacrosse Training Session

Sunday - Full Club Training Session, 1600-1730

Playing Men's Lacrosse, from BUCS to Roses

Throughout the 2025/26 season, we are committed to developing a new wave of Lancaster students. For the first time ever, an addtioanl session has been created purely for the development of new Lacrosse players. There are plenty of oppurtunites for you to compete in our fixtures, and we intend to give large amounts of playing time to those that are eager. We are consistently interested in the progression of the Club’s overall standard of play, and so treat our club like a family. Even if you've never picked up a stick before, we will make a hell of a Lacrosse player out of you.

Socials

Work hard, play hard. LUMLC is known for its immense socials. Closely tied with the Women's Lacrosse Club, we have weekly joint socials with a variety of weird and wonderful themes. These occur everyWednesday, with themes being released at the start of term. Previous themes have included Shit Shirt, Olympics, Charity shop, Wedding etc. The list really is endless.

For the 25/26 season we have been sponsored by a variety of vendors in town, so expect some exclusive discounts on your drinks too. Truly everyone is welcome at a Lacrosse social, and there is never an expectation for you to drink should you choose not to.

Mixed Lacrosse

Paired with the Women's Lacrosse Club, we run a Mixed Lacrosse session every week. This is an oppurtunity to get involved in Women's rules, develop your stick skills, and make some great mates aling the way. Our Men’s, Women’s+, and purely mixed members learn new skills each week and play tournaments throughout the year (as well as having a cheeky trip to Fylde for food after every mixed training). Our Mixed stuff is a less intense way to try lacrosse, and we are trying to push the sport to a wider audience of people, regardless of ability. If you’re thinking of attending mixed, bring your friends and flatmates as everyone is welcome. Message our Instagram with any questions. For more information see the Women's+ and Mixed Lacrosse page.
