The Accounting Society is the place for you to boost employability skills, network and enhance your Accounting knowledge.
We have two simple objectives as a society – to increase students’ accounting employability and enhance accounting academic skills. We welcome students from any degree discipline to join our society and hope that our insightful events and academic support sessions aid you in choosing an appropriate future accounting position.
This year, we are proud to have increased our collaboration with an arrary of firms, including RSM, Azets, CIMA, ICAEW, + many more.
We are also thrilled to continue our Insight Series - a succesful initiative of ours which aims to increase the number of students securing Accounting-related Internships / Placements. Our Insight Series will feature students who have secured internship and placements, who will offer relatable advice and tips.
The Insight series will include:
- Application advice sessions
- Placement Q&A panel
- Internship Q&A panel
- Speculative application session
Our academic team are also expanding this year, ready to support you through your university journey – from workshops to revision sessions, we welcome our members to openly discuss academic topics to encourage learning.
