Welcome to Lancaster University Wilderness & Emergency Medicine Society 2026!
At LUWEMS, we are dedicated to educating students on the wonders of the wilderness, medical knowledge and skills required to tackle emergency medical situations in remote, pre-hospital environments.
Throughout the year, we hold many events and teaching series that cater to all levels of experience. We have socials in Lancaster, in the surrounding areas and in the Lake District. Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming events at LancasterWall, simulation days, hikes, and Weekends Away to the Lakes!
All Lancaster University students are welcome to join! No prior skills or knowledge are required for any of our events. Bring your enthusiasm, passion for medicine and the outdoors!
