The wait is over as the Roses Unlocked weekend has finally arrived
From today Team Lancaster will take on York in a series of sporting competitions from their home campuses, raising money for the mental health charity Mind.
This year, the competition will consist of two events: digitally assisted Head-to-Heads and the Roses Penthalon.
Pentathlon athletes will run, row, sprint, cycle or swim for points whilst the Head-to-Head events will see Lancaster clubs take on York online or in-person with digital assistance. The Darts, Esports, Rowing and Pool will be broadcast live courtesy of LA1TV and BailriggFM, so you can cheer on Team Lancaster from your home, park or nearest available pub garden (in Roses merch of course)!
The live events kick off today as Lancaster University Boat Club and Lancaster University Gaming and Esports compete in Rowing and Esports. Catch all of the action on the Roses Live site and even share your Roses Throwbacks to the page using the #RosesThrowback hashtag on Twitter (let's flood that site with the red rose!).
