Trees are the most efficient carbon filters on earth and as such, a key factor to mitigating dangerous climate change. When you search the web with Ecosia, 80% of the profits from the search ad revenue goes to support tree planting programs. By making Ecosia the default search engine on all university computers, collectively we'll make a significant contribution towards keeping Earth's climate suitable for human habitation.

Ecosia have a great website which explains more about their tree planting projects. They also provide a handy guide for System Administrators on how to easily setup Ecosia as the default search engine across a large organisation.
